The International Algebraic Conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of L.A.Kaluzhnin [July 7-12, 2014 Kyiv, Ukraine] Home Mementos Participants Schedule Local Info Lev Arkad'evich Kaluzhnin (31.01.1914-06.12.1990) was an outstanding mathematician born in Moscow. Professor of Berlin University, founder and head of the algebra chair in Kyiv University. Author of more than 130 articles and books. Appreciated teacher to his students including 18 PhDs and 4 habilitated PhDs. His wide scientific interests included permutation groups, group varieties theory, algorithm theory, mathematical linguistics. Most famous results lie in the field of group theory. Welcome! The International Algebraic Conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of L.A.Kaluzhnin will be held on July 7-12, 2014 in Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv . The Conference is organized jointly by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv , Institute of Mathematics of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine , and National University of "KyivMohyla Academy" . Registration and Abstracts Persons interested in participating in the conference are kindly asked to register online as well as to send one page abstract (in English) which should be prepared in LaTeX. The registration fee is 100 USD (for accompanying persons 50 USD). The registration fee for the Ukrainian citizens and citizens from countries of the former SU is 250 UAH (100 UAH for accompanying persons, students, postgraduate students). The registration fee is to be paid upon arrival in Kyiv. The fee covers organization costs: abstracts, coffee-breaks and cultural program.
